Another year has passed and here is another yearly summary. I will share the most popular posts on my blog and which ones are my favourites, whether I liked doing them or I just really like the product. I will also share my favourite bloggers in this year, you will find some I follow for years and also some new ones.
Most Popular Posts
I already talked about one Avon's BB nail polish, called Restoring Beige, here. This time I will write about a shade called Perfect Pink. In my older post, I already said what this formula is all about, it's supposed to strengthen the nails, make them look healthier and basically give them protection.
For The ONE Disguise collection, Oriflame teamed up with one of Europe’s best fashion schools – the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. The collection is inspired by the optical illusion trend, they wanted to create a bold and unique look. This post is about the Eau de Parfum, but in the collection, there are also some lipsticks and nail polishes.
If you didn't know yet, The Body Shop is finally in Slovenia! For now, we only have the online store, but there will soon be a physical store in Ljubljana. I have never tried anything from them before, so I was very happy when they were one of the sponsors at the Beautiful Bloggers Meet Up. There I got a Frosted Plum body butter and a liquid lipstick, reviews will be on my blog, but for now, I have put together a Christmas wishlist of products that I also want to try.
I love the light pink nail polish from this Colour Boost line by Essence. I really loved it in the summertime, it was a perfect baby pink shade that looked good on tanned skin. For this red one, I'm pretty sure I got it on a SummerMBeauty blogger event, but I'm not sure. The shade is called 03 Instant Kiss. It comes in a clear glass bottle and black cap, the shape is not my favourite. You get 9ml of product for about 2-3€. The brush is thick, round cut and easy to work with.
I finally got the liquid lipstick everyone is obsessed with, the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet. Everyone talked about it, so I thought it would be nice to try it. I got the shade 17 Cool Brown because it seemed like a good shade to test and to add to my collection.
I already talked about one Malinca's product, the Clay Mask, that I love and use at least once a week. In that post, I talked a little about their online store and what they sell too, so if you are interested, you can check here. I also found out that Malinca ships to a lot of countries in EU, not only to Slovenia, so definitely check them out.
I'm happy that I got time to do another monthly favourites post. In November I went to the Beautiful Bloggers Meet Up in Ljubljana, where I got a few goodie bags with products to try. I am already testing some of them, one made it to this post too. I also included some other products I have been using throughout the month. This favourites post will be the first in December and I am planning to do the 12 Days of Christmas. The posts won't be all Chistmas themed, I did some of them last year, this year there will be mostly beauty related posts.
This new Kaviar Gauche limited edition from Catrice is, in my opinion, the prettiest so far. I love the design and colours of the collection. The brushes were high on my wishlist and Slovenian Catrice team kindly offered to send them to me so I can test them out. I'm on a tight budget right now, but I still wanted to buy something, so I needed to decide between the palette and the highlighter, I went for the palette. The choice was actually easy since the highlighter was already sold out, but I'm not regretting getting the palette because I love it.
Not long ago I got sent these two nail polishes from Oriflame's The One line, one is called Orange Spectre and the other Black Trick. They come in a clear glass bottle with a grey cap, the design is not the prettiest in my opinion, because I prefer those simple designs, like Catrice has now. I do love the click that they make when you tighten the cap. You get 8ml of product for around 7€. The brush is thick, round cut and not the easiest to work with. I like how full the brush is, it covers the nail completely and it doesn't take me long to paint my nails, but if you have narrow nails like me and you are messy like me, then you can get some polish on your cuticles too.
I have used some L.O.V products before, I love the matte liquid lipstick and their brushes. I feel L.O.V is one of those brands where every product looks very luxurious and you can't just walk by their products in the store without swatching some of them. If you compare the prices to the sister brands, Essence and Catrice, they are a bit higher, but in my opinion worth those few extra bucks, because the quality is much better. I got a chance to try their new products for fall, I got an eyeshadow palette, a metallic lipstick, a mascara and a highlighting & bronzing palette.
Let’s head to the mountains! From mid December 2017 to January 2018, the new essence trend edition “winter dreamin’” is sure to put you in the mood for a day in the snow – with crisp, clean air and the sun’s rays gently warming your face. And we’re bringing along lots of pampering beauty products in pastel shades with cute snowflake designs and Norwegian style patterns.
I rarely do monthly favourites because I feel I don't have time for them because I plan each post for quite a long time, I can't just write it in one day, like some bloggers do. But I do enjoy making them because that means I get to write about the products that I use a lot but they maybe don't get a full separate review and I just don't mention them anywhere. So here are my October favourites, I did forget some great products that I have been using a lot lately, but I will include them in the November favourites, that I hope I will have time to post.
I was in Seiersberg in Austria a while ago and I had to go to the Kiko store, because we don't have one in our small country. I always think about what to get and when I'm actually there I get overwhelmed and I don't know what to pick. I have heard the lip pencils are very good and since they are only 2,50€ I quickly grabbed one. I didn't really bother so much with the shade, I just got a darker nude, which turned out to be just a perfect colour that I have been searching for. Kiko has a few of ranges of lip liners, I got the Smart Fusion one, which I think it's the cheapest out of all others.
Another New In post is here. These couple of months I have been shopping a bit more, not only for makeup, but also for clothes and some other stuff. Now I finally bought a new camera, so I really need to limit my spendings. So next new in post probably won't be anytime soon, I decided to only buy products that I ran out of or I need, maybe buy a product or two if I really want them and I know I will use, but that's it. The pictures for this post didn't turn out how I wanted them to, these are still taken with my phone, but new ones will be better, I hope :)
I had this post prepared for almost a year now, but I didn't like the pictures, but now I decided to still post it, because I saw these are still available and I love the formula. I really like all Avon's lipsticks, their matte lipsticks are fantastic and these ones amazed me just as well.
Malinca is a Slovenian online store that sells a lot of healthy products, if I can say so. They have some healthy food, as well as some natural cosmetics, kitchen tools and accessories, books and even jewellery. Their website is very well made in terms of the information you get on every product, if the product is vegan, gluten free, lactose free, how the product is made and how to use it. I did try some of their products before, but at a blogger event I got a sample pot of a clay mask from Malinca and I started to use it right away. Malinca then kindly sent me one to test. I already used up the sample one, so I'm happy I got a big packaging.
This time I will be talking about some summer products from Balea. I know Summer is already over, I wanted to post this sooner but I wanted to test all of the products well, especially the shampoo and conditioner. I wanted to have this post up quickly now when I have tested them, so you can still get some products if you like them (hand cream is limited edition, shaving cream and the shower gel are only accessible in summer, for the shampoo and the conditioner I'm pretty sure they are permanent), so this will be more of a quick review of all five products.
Not long ago I got an awesome package from Dominur, which represents brands like Essence, Catrice and L.O.V in Slovenia. I already reviewed two matte liquid lipsticks from the Coast'n'Chill LE from Essence. Today I will review three of the new Autumn/Winter 2017 products by Essence, which are the Superlast Eyeliner, Fresh & Fit Awake Primer and an Instant Volume Boost Mascara. I have to say I like all of them.
1. Black Harry Potter Ceramic Mug | 2. Grey Hot Water Bottle | 3. Fox Sleeping Mask | 4. Disney Chip Mug | 5. Mrs Potts Tea Pot | 6. Trinket Tray | 7. Winter Spice Candle | 8. Harry Potter Glitter Baubles | 9. Winnie The Pooh Mug
This Avon True Colour Nail Polish is from their BB 7-in-1 line and it is called Restoring Beige. It comes in a classic Avon nail polish glass bottle. I actually really like this design, it looks elegant and you can store it better than Essence for example. You get 10ml for 5,90, but it's usually on sale.
We finally got Born to be Lazy products from Balea in our DMs. I don't usually get all excited about Balea products, I didn't even buy that unicorn shower gel everyone talked about a couple of months ago. I'm not sure what it is about this line, I really liked the cute packaging, maybe because I saw it all over Instagram. I mainly wanted the sheet mask and the body lotion, but of course, I bought more. I did see the lip balm also, but I decided not to buy it because I have a lot of them at home that I want to use up. The whole line smells very sweet, to me not all products smell the same, some are a lot sweeter than others. People that are not keen on sweet scents, probably won't like them. The scent reminds me a lot on their older collections, most on the Rummelplatz LE. I also need to mention that all of these products are vegan.
Today I have even more liquid lipstick reviews, I have just been loving them lately. Two are from the Essence's new Coast'n'Chill trend edition and one from the Catrice's Blessing Browns limited edition, the last one looks really similar to the Liquid Lip Powders from Catrice, which I really like, that's I mainly why got it. I wanted one darker autumnal shade, but it didn't impress me so much as that one. I have seen both of the collections in Müller already, so if you like the lipsticks, be quick.
Today I'm going to write about two products that are new by Catrice. They came out as part of the autumn/winter update. I have been loving blush sticks lately and this brown one looked like such a nice autumnal shade, I actually had it on my wishlist too. But I didn't have the liquid lipstick on the WL, because I didn't trust that they would really be matte, but when I tried one in the store it impressed me big time.
Yes, I bought another one, I just couldn't resist this shade. I already have a review on these new Catrice ICONails polishes, so I won't be too long in this post. This time I picked up a shade called 09 Vintagged Pink. I was debating between this one and Rosewood Hills (you can see swatches on Petra's blog), but then I decided I already have a very similar shade to Rosewood Hills in my collection and I picked up Vintagged Pink.
I can't believe another year has passed, I will be 21 years old on 13th of September. I know I'm still young, but I feel old. I was never one of those children that wanted to grow up fast. Anyway, let's go to the post. I put together a semi-big birthday wishlist. That's not at all what I expect to get from my friends or family (many don't even know I have a blog, or don't read it), but it's a wishlist for me, what I wish for in the next year, what I will maybe treat myself to. If you are interested, here is last year's version of the wishlist.
Dusk is here and the night of all nights can begin! In October 2017, the new essence trend edition “bootiful nights” invites all brave girls to a Halloween party at the end of a dark alley. The dress code is eerie, scary and beautiful – not a problem with these unique beauty products.
I got Essence Volume Stylist 18h Lash Extension Mascara a few months ago at a blogger event. First, I didn't really pay much attention to it, because the packaging didn't impress me, it looks quite childish. I didn't even see any reviews of it. One day I decided to test it and I'm glad I did, because it's awesome. Essence is really making a great job with their mascaras lately. I don't think I have been disappointed in the last two years at any of their mascaras and I absolutely love the I Love Extreme Waterproof mascara.
Melvita L'Argan Bio Velvet Hand Cream*
Melvita surprised me with a lovely package for my third blog anniversary. I didn't expect this at all. They sent me a hand cream with a cute note. First, I love the packaging, white with rose gold foil writing. The scent is quite strong and oriental, but I'm not sure how to properly describe it. It stays on the skin for a while. The consistency is quite lightweight and sinks into the skin fast.
I was browsing through Aliexpress again and I found some cool stuff. I prepared this post a while back, I already ordered and actually got those pipette bottles on the second picture. They are perfect, they came perfectly wrapped, one is 10ml and one 30ml. The pipette on both works fine and they don't leak. I will soon do another wishlist, but I'm already doing a post about some stuff that I already bought and tried.
Slovenian bloggers got a couple of products from Paese at this years SummerMBeauty event in Maribor. Bloggers quicky started to sing praises about the nail polish we got, I have seen some really good things about this being the best white nail polish they have tried. I really like some of their other products, but I am not so impressed by this polish. I'm talking about Paese nail polish in shade 102.
Avon has been spoiling us bloggers again. Not long ago they sent us a summery themed package. I decided to do a whole blogger mail post, because I like doing them and I probably wouldn't do a whole post about each of the products, so I wanted to just do one post with mini reviews. I will leave the current offers, as well as the normal prices and you can see the current catalog here. This one is available until 6th of September.
Essence Mattifying Compact Powder
My favourite powder ever, I repurchased a lot of these. I used it up some time ago and I already have a backup.

Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray
I can't say much about this. I tried it when I got it a long time ago, I ordered it when Makeup Revolution came to Slovenia, but I didn't like it, I don't really remember why, I think the scent was too strong and alcoholic. Since then it was sitting in my drawer, now I just decided to throw it out.

I used to make Random Monthly Pictures posts, where I would share a couple of pictures I took throughout the month, but I completely forgot about that. On the other side you can see some photos I take on my Instagram. I thought I would do a post about my vacation, something like a photo diary and include a couple of photos here. I like taking pictures, but I still don't have a proper camera and my phone isn't the best in that field, so the pictures aren't the best quality.
Today I'm going to talk about two products that I got at this year's SummerMBeauty event. They are from Annemarie Börlind, I got a small mascara and a loose powder with hyaluronic acid. I don't think I have ever heard about this brand, but just last time, when I had time and I was in Müller I saw it, so I'm not sure if it's new in Slovenia or I have only just seen it. Annemarie Börlind is a world-famous natural beauty brand in Germany. She is committed to search for the cleanest organic natural resources in the world for ingredients.
This is the first product that I bought from the new Catrice Autumn/Winter Update. On my wishlist I had two other shades, but in the store this one seemed the prettiest. There weren't all the new products in the store yet, the ones that were didn't impress me much, except for the blush sticks, but they didn't have the shade I wanted anymore.
Oriflame offered me a chance to try some of their products and of course, I said yes. I already own a few of their products which I love and use regularly, like the Tender Care Protecting Balm and the Eyeshadow Stick, I also loved the Swedish Spa Nourishing Body Butter. For this time a choose two cream sticks, a blush and a brush. Some products impressed me and some not so much.
I'm a bit late with this review, I already saw Catrice Soleil D'été LE products in stores like a week ago, but they should be available till mid of September. This collection is all about metallic looks and bronzing makeup. I got two products to test out: Metalip Colour and a Metal Eyelight. I'm actually eyeing that gorgeous bronzer, as well as the serum bronzer because I heard bronzers from Catrice's LEs are quite nice.
Last year I put this blush on my Birthday Wishlist, but I never bought it, but Mateja recently kindly sent it to me because she had two. Another thank you Mateja :D The Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush (wow that's a long name) comes in a round plastic and metallic pink looking packaging. It has a sturdy and clear lid, so you can see the pretty heart design on the actual blush. You have to push the button so you can open it and you don't have to worry it will just open in your makeup bag.
My blog is turning three in August! Like I said before, I don't have an exact date, because I did erase some of the posts a long time ago, so I decided to celebrate just the month. Last year it was just: "Oh I have been blogging for two years", but this year it feels different, I feel like I have been blogging for much longer. I really fell in love with blogging, with planning, taking pictures and writing about products, I don't even know how my day would be without it. I have been trying to blog more frequently recently, but I'm not there yet, it takes so much time and effort, congrats to you who do it.
I have been waiting for a perfect liquid matte lipstick and I can say I finally found it. I was very impressed when I first tried this liquid lipstick from L.O.V, called Fatalmuse, in shade 710 Secret Obsession. If you don't know, L.O.V is fairly new in Slovenia, it's a sister brand to Essence and Catrice and this is my first makeup product I tried from them (if you don't count the brushes) and they actually convinced me to try some more in the future.
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip Dopey
A while back Colourpop finally had free international shipping and of course, I had to order something. Firstly, I wanted to get some of the satin lips, but I changed my mind and ordered lippie stix. If you purchased above 20$, you got a free mini satin lip. I think there were three shades you can choose from, I chose a shade called Dopey, which is a warm dark mauve colour.
