This is the last holiday-themed post. I meant to post this review somewhere between Christmas and New Year's, but I had some problems with Blogger. I am seriously considering switching to Wordpress, I'm familiar with it and with Blogger I feel there is always something wrong. Anyway, I prepared a short review of the Essence Mad About Red Matte Liquid Lipstick. I already have a full review on the nude version, called Dusty Romance, here.
The lipstick comes in a tube that contains 8ml of product and costs 2,99€. The applicator is hourglass shaped, not really precise, especially for a strong red shade like this one, but it's still quite easy to work with.
The formula is thin, with the nude shade two coats were enough for good coverage, but with this one, I need three so it's even. Also, I didn't really experience bleeding but I still suggest using a lip liner. The formula dries within two minutes or so and it really is a matte finish.
The shade 01 Seeing Red is a bright red with an orange undertone, I like these reds the most, I feel they suit my skin tone the most. I couldn't capture the exact shade, in real life, the red is more vibrant and orange toned.
I really like the range. The only thing I consider a small problem is that they are not very longlasting. But, like I said, they are 2,99€ and for me, that's super cheap for what you get. I would love it if they expanded their shade range.
