Postcards from Rainy Trieste, Italy

Postcards from Rainy Trieste, Italy

I have been to Triste before, but not in the last couple of years, so it was time to revisit it. When we visited Valencia, our flight was from Trieste airport and since the day before that vacation was a holiday in our country, we decided to visit it and stroll through the city. When we were there, it was rainy but we still had a good time. You can spot on the photos, that it was actually just before the carnival, so the streets were all decorated and the city was in a festive spirit.

This will just be a postcard kind of post with some key information about where to stay and where to eat. So firstly, about our stay. We stayed in Hotello hostel, which was perfect, there were four of us so we had a room to ourselves, including our own bathroom. No complaints there. As far as food goes, you need to try Italian pizza, of course. We chose a famous Al Barattolo restaurant and it was amazing, I had one of the best margaritas I have ever eaten. They also have a nice selection of beers (and of course Aperol spritz).

Trieste is great for a one-day trip, lots of Slovene go there for shopping purposes, for clothes and mainly for food. We then travelled to Valencia and I made a proper post about our trip here.
