Essence x PacMan Trend Edition

Essence x PacMan Trend Edition

I'm reviewing an Essence trend edition again, this time it's Essence x PacMan. I'm not sure how long it will be available in Slovenia, it says it was available from mid-August but I think I saw it in stores later. DM and some drugstores even get those collections much later than Müller and you can sometimes even get them months after the release date. In the collection you can get an eyeshadow palette, a blush palette, face brush, two highlighters, a lip balm, and an eye mask. Lovely Natalija from Dominur sent me three products to review, eyeshadow palette, blush palette, and an eye mask.

Eyeshadow Palette 01 You'll Eat It Up!

Essence x PacMan Trend Edition

The eyeshadow palette comes in a sturdy and bulky black plastic packaging. On the top, you have a game where you can move the Pacman and play it. You get 12g of product in the palette, I'm not sure about the price but I think it's under 8€. There is no mirror in the palette.

In the palette, that is called You'll Eat It Up, you get 8 shades. The shades are warm-toned, you mostly get browns, with champagne, rose and light yellow shade. The first shade is semi-matte. Second, third, sixth and eight shade are shimmery, others are matte. They are all quite powdery, especially the matte ones and there is a lot of fallout int the pans.

The shimmery shades are gorgeous, they are well pigmented, buttery soft to the touch and have such a nice effect when swatched and on the eyes. The mattes are less pigmented, sometimes almost chalky and you will need more time blending them because they can quickly look muddy on the lids.

I never wore a primer when I wore these shades and they lasted well. They didn't fade much, there was a bit of creasing. I even worked out and I was surprised because there was just slight creasing that you couldn't even see from a meter or two away.

Blush Palette 01 Beware Of Flashing Monsters

Essence x PacMan Trend Edition
The blush palette comes in a cute black cardboard packaging with a magnetic closing. You have little windows on it with cute Pacman designs and you can see the shades that are in the palette. You get 16g of product for around 4€.

The palette is called Beware Of Flashing Monsters and it has 4 blush shades: a light brownish shade, a rose-peachy shade, a vibrant pink and a subtle coral shade. Top two contain some shimmer, the bottom two are matte. The pigmentation is not the best and they are quite chalky if I swatch them with fingers, shimmery ones more than mattes. They are also very powdery. On the cheeks, they do need more blending than I'm used to. I don't like using the top two because of the shimmer but I like the bottom two, especially the pink one, which I didn't expect to like.

The shades fade pretty quickly from my face. That's why I don't like using shimmery ones because after a couple of hours the only thing that is left is the shimmer.

Eye Mask 01 Power Up!

Essence x PacMan Trend Edition

The eye mask comes in a cute packaging with a Pacman monster on it. It costs around 2€On the packaging, it says that the mask should give your skin instant energized and revitalized feeling like you have slept 10 hoursIt took me so long to test it because it's straight-up eye patches and I can't be still for 15 minutes and do nothing. With a regular mask, I can still get work done but with this one, I had to sit down and relax. It did feel good though.

Essence x PacMan Trend Edition

When I opened the packaging there was quite a lot of essence and the two sheets were soaked in it. On one sheet you have a graphic of Pacman and on the other is a monster. As soon as I put it on I got some essence in my eye and it stung. The sheets felt comfortable on the eyes, they weren't slipping off. I left them on for 10 minutes and when I removed them, there was a lot of essence on the skin. On the packaging, it says that you should massage that into the skin but as soon as I opened my eyes, it stung so bad that I had to wash it off. I didn't notice any difference in my skin but it did feel refreshing.

I love the shades in the eyeshadow palette, they are made for me. You get matte and shimmery browns, you get a light nude and a champagne shade. I even like the yellow shade for a slight pop of colour to change my makeup look a bit. The blush palette is a hit and miss. I don't like the shimmery shades but I love the pink one. Lastly, the mask was feeling good on the skin and it did feel nice to relax and do nothing but I didn't see an effect and it stung my eyes, so I wouldn't use it again.

Thank you for reading!
