Quick Review of CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion

Quick Review of CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion

CeraVe is a brand that just gets more popular every day. One of their most famous products is a facial moisturizing lotion that comes in two versions, AM and PM, meant for morning and evening skincare but most people just use PM version for both. I got the AM version last year because the PM was sold out everywhere. Now you can actually get CeraVe products also in pharmacies in Slovenia (and I think in some other stores).

The AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion comes in a cute tube that contains 52 ml / 50 g of product. It comes with a pump that works well and it's sanitary. I really like their design, it's nothing special but this blue shade that they use just screams CeraVe.

The lotions (AM and PM) are different, I'm not so familiar with ingredients, but the AM version does contain sun protection - SPF25 (although I would still use a separate sunscreen). In the last few weeks, I also purchased the PM version so I can compare the two. I can say the latter one has a much more gel-cream consistency, the AM version is more creamy (almost like a sunscreen - but not one of those super lightweight ones like Garnier Ambre Solaire Face Fluid). It does leave a bit of a white cast but it quickly disappears. It leaves a film on the skin and I feel that I sweat more when I use it. One thing that I also noticed is that it sadly breaks me out. I did read a lot about the AM version clogging pores though.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to use it up, I don't like that it feels kind of heavy on my skin, but I will give it to a friend to see how it performs on others and I will stick with the PM version.

Thank you for reading!
