What to Bake for Christmas (4 Easy Festive Desserts)
Since my Christmas baking posts are always doing so well, I thought it would be a good idea to make some more this year. In this post, I included four desserts that are just some basic recipes with different ideas for decoration.

Basic Christmas Brownies but with Sprinkles

The first festive dessert are brownies. Everyone loves brownies and they are easy to make. I already have a recipe for the basic brownies in this post but any recipe will do. The decoration is also easy peasy - you just add some Christmas sprinkles on top - I chose green, white and red, as well as some gold powder. And that's it!

Christmas Brownie Trees

Another dessert out of brownies but this one it's more complicated. Again, you will need to bake basic brownies and then decorate! First, you will need a cookie cutter in the shape of a tree (or any other shape). It's best if the cookie cutter is not too small because the batter will crumble. One more thing - when baked, flip the brownies upside down - it's much easier to cut the shapes out this way. The next step is to melt some chocolate and pour it over the little trees. When the chocolate dried, I drizzled some more chocolate for definition (I used a chocolate pen but you can also do it with the left-over chocolate from before). Lastly, add sprinkles! I used some stars and again, a red-white-green combo of sprinkles. I also made a TikTok about these brownies here.

Chocolate-Covered Rum Balls

The next dessert are rum balls. I'm pretty sure everyone has a rum ball recipe in their house as it's very simple to make. When you make them, put a stick in each of the balls and put them in the freezer for some time because they will be easier to coat with chocolate. The next step is to cover them with chocolate and wait for them to dry. Then drizzle some more chocolate on top and add sprinkles. It was my first time making these and I left them to dry with sticks on top, so they had a hole, but I fixed it by adding a heart right on it, so you can't see it.

Chocolate Cupcakes with Festive Frosting

I already have a post about these cupcakes here but I wanted to also include them in this post because I love them and I didn't have time to make a version this year. Again, use any muffin recipe that you like - I choose chocolate muffins. Then it's time to make a frosting - I used a basic butter frosting and added green food coloring. My piping bag skills are not the best but I think they still turned out well. Then it was time to decorate. I loved the idea of Christmas lights (that I found on Pinterest), so I drizzled some chocolate and added some m&m-s to a few cupcakes and others I just decorated with some more sprinkles.
