Testing Popular Pharmacy Products

Testing Popular Pharmacy Products

I will be reviewing five pharmacy products - some have become my favourites and some not. I have been writing this post since last year and I'm glad that I waited because my opinion about one product changed during this year.

Eucerin Atopi Control Face Cream
I have heard so many good and so many bad things about this cream, some love it and some hate it. I loved it at first but then not so much. I started to use it when my skin was really bad, it was sensitive with some breakouts and really dry, especially around my eyes and eyebrows. It helped me a lot, it nourishes the skin very well and I got rid of dry parts around my eyes and eyelids. It's a thicker cream that needs some time to spread around and it does leave a thin layer on the skin. The layer is not oily but the skin looked a bit shinny, so I always applied some powder on top to mattify it. When it started getting warmer, I noticed that it's too much for my skin, I started to get occasional breakouts around my hairline. I'm still not 100% sure if it's from this cream but since I stopped using it the hairline breakouts are basically gone. My guess is, that it nourished my skin well when it was really dry and now it's a bit too heavy. I would recommend it to you only if you have really dry skin, if you don't, you probably won't like it.

I got this when nothing worked for my dandruff, I just didn't know what shampoo to use, there are so many. I heard good things about this one, so I got it when it was one sale. I used it a couple of times and it didn't really do much. Just around that time, I discovered Balea's Ultra Sensitive Shampoo that I love. It got rid of my dandruff and I didn't want to use anything else, so I gave away this La Roche Posay. Many people love it but I didn't use it long enough to properly review it. If you are interested, Mateja talked about it on her blog.

This is probably my favourite products out of all of these. If you have dry and atopic skin, this is for you. It's a very lightweight lotion that spreads easily and leaves the skin nourished but it doesn't leave a film. The packaging comes with a pump which I love, it's easy to manage how much product you need. I bought the biggest packaging and I save it, so I still have some product left.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+
A couple of years ago the Effaclar cream was super popular but now nobody talks about it anymore. I got it for my brother but then I started using it. It comes in a tube that is easy to squeeze. It's a white creamy gel that spreads easily. I wouldn't say it erases the breakouts like I have heard but it unclogs the pores so the skin's texture looks much nicer. I like to use it on my nose and chin, especially now when we wear a mask all the time. I try to use it a couple of times per week to prevent maskne (acne from wearing masks).

La Roche Posay Toleriane Sensitive Creme

La Roche Posay Toleriane Sensitive Creme
I didn't use this one, my mom got it but I thought that the info would maybe help someone. My mom has rosacea and she only likes a few pharmacy products but she is still searching for the perfect one. This one was not it. She says it's not so bad but she has some that she likes better.

  1. Exomega je super. Jaz sem imela najprej losijo n in potem kremo. Mislim da kar nekaj tub kreme že. Zdaj mi je sicer postala zelo všeč Uriage Xemose in mislim, da bom naslednjo spet kupila to.

Hvala, bom ji predlagala še to. Zdaj ima kremo od neke slovenske znamke in ji je všeč, bom pa ji sporočila :D
