Spring Favourites 2020

Long time no favourites. Now when I'm at always at home I gathered quite a collection of everything because I'm always testing something new. There are some new products and also some older ones that I loved using in the past couple of weeks. You can see my previous favourites posts here.

Essence Bye Bye Panda Eyes! Smudge-Proof Volumizing and Defining Mascara
I have been testing a lot of mascaras lately, this one is kind of in the middle, I like it but it's nothing special. It gives a bit of length to the lashes, a bit of volume but that's mostly it. I'm not saying it's bad, for 3€ or 4€ is great but I do notice that it can flake sometimes. I already prepared a review which will be up in the next couple of days.

Oriflame Big Lash Mascara
I used this mascara before I started testing the Panda one from Essence and I like it more than that one. I didn't expect to like this one as much because I heard bad reviews but I love it now. It's just a shame it will expire before I actually get to wear it anywhere.

Let's be honest, most of the days I just don't bother with any makeup but I still test some new products and these two lip products impressed me the most. Catrice's lipstick has a thin formula that dries matte, but what I really like, is the shade. The Avon's one has their amazing matte formula that is comfortable to wear and doesn't feel dry on the lips.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Gel Foundation 53 Beige Clair
Back in the days when I started blogging everyone was using this foundation and I had it on my WL ever since. I always had a few foundations at home, so I couldn't justify buying one more, also considering it's not the cheapest either. Now when I finally have it, I love it. It has a very light texture, it reminds me of my old favourite Pure Nude from Essence. It looks natural on the skin and it lasts pretty well, it just sometimes starts to collect on the top of my nose and in between my eyebrows. It's suitable for dry skin and for now, I didn't notice it would emphasize dry patches.

L.O.V BLUSHment Blurring Blush 30 Beautiful Minds Empower Other
This is a new discovery, if I do wear makeup now at home, I wear this blush. The formula is great, it blends easily and gives a nice healthy sheen to the cheeks, the colour is also gorgeous.

Essence The Blush 10 Befitting
This one I wore a lot before I discovered the L.O.V blush. It has a creamy formula and a matte finish. The shade is very pretty and it lasts quite well, although not as long as the L.O.V blush.

Essence Glow Like... TE Baked Metallic Highlighter 03 Like Glitter is Raining on You
I was going through my highlighter collection and I almost gave this one away because I didn't use it for a good while and the formula seemed too glowy in the pan. I decided to try it one last time and it impressed me so much that I only wear this one now. I saw in my review that I wasn't so impressed with it when I bought it but now it's my favourite. It's a baked highlighter and it has the prettiest glow on the cheeks. It's not that blinding effect but the subtle sheen that I love. The darker champagne shade also suits my skin very well.

Revolution Bronzer Reloaded Take a Vacation
I normally use more matte bronzers, I really like the ones from Essence. But recently I wanted a more glowy kind of bronzer, one that would give my skin that sun-kissed look and I ordered this one. The packaging is not the best and it's bulky but the bronzer itself is very good, I really like it. The formula is great and blends easily and I got what I wanted - a nice sun-kissed look.

The Body Shop Raspberry, Beetroot, Ginger Lip Juicer
This is a product that I keep going back to. Sometimes I forget about it for some time but then I rediscover it. I really like the cute shape of the lip juicer, even though it's not the most convenient to take with you and it gets messy when you use it a lot but I don't really mind it because I use it only at home. It has a specific scent that not everybody would like but I have grown to love it, it's quite spicy. The formula is thin but I still feel it moisturizes my lips well.

Mixa Cica-cream / Balea Handcream with Urea
These two saved my hands when they were dry from constant washing. I also used the Mixa one on some skin patches that were very dry because of atopic dermatitis and it worked okay. The Balea's hand cream is one of the best I have tried and it's only 2€ or so. I bought it for myself, then my dad started to use it and even my mom, so now I actually have to search for it around the house because there is always someone using it. Also consider, my mom and dad don't usually use hand creams, especially my dad and he loves it.

Borotalco Active Deo Spray
I'm not the one for spray deodorants, I prefer the ones that come in a stick form. I don't like the strong scent these usually have. This one is no exception, it has a strong scent but I always ventilate the room well after I use it (I'm sensitive to strong scents). But it does work, it holds for the whole day and even works through a sweaty workout. I can still smell the scent on me after a couple of hours but it's subtle and it won't clash with your perfume.

L'Oreal Hydra Genious Aloe Water Moisturizer
This is actually pretty decent and I started to use it pretty regularly. It's very similar to the Balea Aqua cream that I really like, maybe it even has a bit lighter consistency but the scent is very very strong, almost like man's cologne. I like using it but don't expect a lot of nourishment from it like some influencers rave about it, it's nothing special. I actually prefer the Balea's because it has a nicer scent. It's good on a day when you are in a hurry and want something to apply quickly. It also feels refreshing and cooling on the skin. It has made its way into my skincare routine but I wouldn't buy it myself, not for that price.
Oriflame Love Nature Refreshing Eye Gel
I recently made a review of this eye gel but I have been using it for about half a year on and off, only now when I'm at home more, I started to use it more. I don't really see a difference in how my under eye area looks but it does feel good and refreshing, so I keep using it.

Riverdale
Petra always adds random things in her favourites and I really like reading those, so I thought I would put a favourite series/movies or something other that I loved in that month. Riverdale stayed in my mind because I binged wached it recently. Everyone recommended it to me but it took me a while to start watching it because I thought it's a weird teen drama. Season one was okay but season two is where it sucked me in, I really liked it. Season three and four were a disappointment but I still watched because I wanted to know what will happen. In conclusion, the first two seasons were very interesting, I won't talk about the story because I don't want to give away any spoilers. With the third and fourth seasons, things started to get weird, sometimes I was just like what the hell is even happening. They changed the whole genre of the show and they are making musical episodes now. Don't get me wrong, I like musicals, but it just doesn't suit the show. If you are going to watch it, just watch the first two seasons and pretend the last two didn't happen.

Thank you for reading!

  1. Zdaj si me spomnila na Essence Glow kolekcijo osvetljevalcev. Jaz imam dva in enega sem res veliko uporabljala. Formula teh je bila odlična. Sicer pa Essence in Catrice vedno navdušita z osvetljevalci :).

Se popolnoma strinjam s tabo za Riverdale. Prvi sezoni super. Tretjo sem bila wtf?! in četrte nisem niti dokončala :D. Malo so zašli. Škoda, ker ni bilo slabo :).
